These terms apply to digital products purchased from DanielJDick.com, including Before You Choose an EHR: 50 Questions for a Better EHR Decision.
Digital Delivery
Digital products are delivered electronically. After successful payment, the purchaser receives access to download the purchased product. No physical product is included unless specifically stated otherwise.
If you experience a problem receiving, downloading, or opening your purchase, please contact me so I can help resolve the problem.
Permitted Use
Your purchase provides a license to use the workbook for your own professional use and, when purchased on behalf of an organization, for reasonable internal use by the purchasing organization in connection with its own EHR evaluation and decision-making activities.
The workbook may be printed or reproduced internally as reasonably necessary for that use.
The workbook may not be resold, republished, posted publicly, distributed outside the purchasing organization, incorporated into another product for sale, or made available for unrestricted downloading without written permission from Daniel J. Dick.
Copyright and other ownership rights remain with Daniel J. Dick.
Refund Policy
Because digital products are delivered immediately and provide access to the complete purchased material, purchases are generally final once the product has been downloaded.
I want customers to be treated fairly. If you experience a technical problem receiving or opening the workbook, make a duplicate purchase, or believe there is another legitimate problem with your order, please contact me. I will review reasonable requests individually and work to resolve genuine problems fairly.
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable law.
Nature of the Workbook
Before You Choose an EHR is an educational and decision-support resource. It is intended to help organizations ask better questions, investigate evidence, identify risks and unknowns, and make more informed decisions.
The workbook does not recommend that every organization replace its existing EHR, nor does it endorse or reject any particular EHR vendor or product. Improving an existing environment may be the better decision; replacing it may be the better decision. That determination belongs to the organization making the decision.
No Professional or Vendor Representation
The workbook does not constitute legal, financial, accounting, cybersecurity, clinical, regulatory, or other specialized professional advice. Organizations should obtain appropriate professional expertise when a decision requires it.
Daniel J. Dick is not acting as an agent or representative of any EHR vendor through the sale of this workbook unless explicitly stated otherwise.
Responsibility for Decisions
EHR decisions depend upon circumstances unique to each organization. The workbook is designed to support investigation and decision-making, but it cannot guarantee a particular result or identify every issue that may be relevant to a particular organization.
Purchasers remain responsible for their own evaluations, due diligence, professional advice, negotiations, contracts, implementation decisions, and final decisions.
Website and Product Information
I make reasonable efforts to describe products accurately and keep information current. Product content, website information, pricing, and these terms may be updated from time to time. Changes will not alter the terms applicable to a completed purchase where applicable law requires otherwise.
